Burke Education Endowment Program: Huffman-Cornwell, Richardson and Rostan Scholarships
To assist student(s) in meeting expenses incurred while pursuing their academic goals at Western Piedmont Community College.
Scholarship Criteria
- Graduate with a standard diploma from an accredited high school or state-approved private or home school located in Burke County
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the specified deadline before applying to BEEP
- Complete the application process for admission to WPCC (placement tests, transcripts, etc.)
- Enroll at WPCC as a degree or diploma seeking student within one year following high school graduation
- Maintain a physical address in Burke County
- Enroll full-time (minimum of 12 credit hours) each fall and spring semester (summer semester or semester of graduation may be less)
- Maintain a minimum 2.0 semester and cumulative grade point average and meet and maintain satisfactory academic progress as established by federal guidelines and WPCC
- Students who do not qualify for in-state tuition will be funded for tuition and fees up to the in-state rates, if eligible, and will be personally responsible for the difference between the in-state and out-of-state rates
- Other grants/scholarships received by a student will be used before BEEP funds are allocated
