Here’s how we will accelerate your education:

Boost participants who meet program requirements may receive up to $800 in stipends and $600 for textbooks each academic year. Students also receive one-on-one advising to support degree completion, entry into high-wage, high-demand careers, or transfer to a four-year institution.

- To qualify, you must:
- Be a North Carolina resident eligible for in-state tuition, according to the NC Residency Determination Service (RDS)
- Possess a high school diploma or high school equivalency when you enter the program
- Receive the Federal Pell Grant and/or the Next NC Scholarship
- Have no more than 24 program applicable college credit hours earned
- Be enrolled in one of the eligible degree programs
- Attempt at least 24 credits per academic year

Students who are accepted into the program are automatically placed in the High Support Tier category for their first semester. After their first semester, students may level down to medium support or low support depending on grades, attendance, and advisor discretion.
- High Support Tier- Students are required to meet with their advisor twice monthly.
- Medium Support Tier- Students are required to meet with their advisor once a month.
- Low Support Tier- Students are required to meet with their advisor twice a semester.
All participants, regardless of support tier, are required to attend two Career Development Activities per semester (four activities per year).
Students who meet all program expectations are eligible to receive a $100 stipend per month (up to $800 per academic year). Additionally, students are eligible to receive up to $300 per semester in textbook allowance ( up to $600 per year).
This form is intended for students who have been enrolled in the program. It will be used as a method for confirming program engagement to administer the monthly incentive award. All required questions must be completed.
