Job Start

The need of employers to find employees has been at a high rate for several years. WPCC sees the need for helping those that may be looking for a new career path or are unemployed. WPCC wants to give a person the tools they will need to achieve success in the job market. WPCC wants to be a part of your success story in your career search.

WPCC is proud to introduce Job Start Classes. The objective of Job Start is to prepare a person for the first steps in their career choice. Job Start will feature self- evaluation, personal goals and reaching it, employers’ expectations, writing a resume, job application, preparing paperwork and interview role play.

At the end of the class the student will be more confident when applying and interviewing for a job. The student will have a better understanding in the direction of their job path. The student should be clearer on what is needed and expected by their future employer.

The classes will meet 4 hours a week (2days) for 6 weeks. The classes will be as follows: Monday/Wednesday from 3pm-5pm starting on July 8, 10, 15, 17,22, 24,29, 31… Aug 5,7,12,14. The cost will be $70.00.* Tuesday/Thursday from 9am-11am starting on July 9,11,16, 18, 23,25,30, Aug 1,6,8,13,15. The cost will be $70.00.*

*If you are a displaced worker, or are underemployed/unemployed, you may be fee exempt according to the state’s financial guidelines. If you qualify for a fee waiver, you may attend the class for FREE!!
