Discover Contra Dancing! Contra dancing is a lively, social American folk dance that’s easy to learn and full of energy. Danced in long lines with partners and groups, it combines simple walking steps with flowing patterns, spirited live or recorded music, and a welcoming community atmosphere. No experience or partner is needed—contra is beginner-friendly and a fun way to connect, move, and enjoy great music. Come join us to learn the basics, meet new people, and experience the joy of contra dancing!
