WPCC Held The Adult High School Program Graduation on October 10th
On Thursday, October 10th, the Western Piedmont Community College Adult High School Program held its graduation ceremony at 6:00 p.m. in Leviton Auditorium.
17 students participated in the ceremony. The graduating class included a 7-student cohort of English language learners who all earned the required 22 credits in the program.
“I will not forget this. It means a lot to me. I carry the memories in my heart. Thanks, WPCC,” graduate Yesica Nava-Cruz said.
The High School Equivalency Diploma Program prepares students for the High School Equivalency Exam through study at the WPCC campus, online, or community class sites. Instructors assess the educational needs of entering students through the use of placement inventories and then develop an appropriate program of study. Instructors are always available for individual assistance. Students should contact the college for enrollment information.
“My favorite part about classes at WPCC is my teachers. They understand and care for us because they know we work and study at the same time,” graduate Maria Montes said. “That was hard for me, working full time and studying, but I can say I did it.”
