This 24-hour local anesthesia certification course is for dental hygienists practicing for at least two years. The online aspect of this course is taught through a series of modules developed by a dentist with a background in online and distance learning. The clinical component is completed in 8 hours and incorporates several hands-on exercises, injections on anesthesia manikins, and using Safe-D-Needles before working on a peer patient. Once completed, the hygienist will receive 24 hours of NSBDE-approved continuing education and the required paperwork to submit for your local anesthesia certification.

Important Information: On January 31st all students have to be in person. That is the only day students will need to come on campus. The online portion of the class begins on January 7th.
