Procedure

Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) is designed to give students essential skills required for entry-level employment as law enforcement officers with state, county, or municipal governments, or with private enterprise.

Enrollment in this program is restricted to applicants who meet the following criteria:
1. Must be 20 years of age or older;
2. Must hold a high school diploma or GED;
3. Must meet all minimum standards for employment and certification in criminal justice employment;
4. Must obtain sponsorship from an organized law enforcement agency.
