06.02.050 Daily Deposits
All money regardless of source or purpose collected or received by a College officer, employee and/or agent shall be provided either electronically if direct deposits or physically if cash, check, or other payment methods to the College’s Cashier in the Business Office and deposited intact daily and the next business day. Individuals are prohibited from sending money to the Cashier through interoffice mail or leaving the money on the Cashier’s desk. The Cashier will provide to the officer, employee and/or agent a receipt for the money.
The primary point for collection and deposit of receipts is the Business Office located in Moore Hall. Funds may also be received at the College Bookstore, the Library, the Cosmetology Center, and locations of live projects or club activities. For locations outside the business office a receipt/deposit form is utilized for regular activities (bookstore, library, or cosmetology center) and a Receipt book, issued by the Business Office, for live projects. Receipt books issued by the Business Office will be tracked, logged, and reconciled by the Business Office.
All funds received by the cashier will be secured in the Business Office vault until deposited. Tuition and all revenues declared by law to be State moneys will be deposited pursuant to the rules of the State Treasurer. Deposits are taken to the bank by College Security Officers in a sealed container to be opened by bank personnel.
