Procedure

Before a Reduction in Force process can begin, the Trustees must first declare that a financial exigency exists at Western Piedmont Community College.  Trustee meetings to consider financial exigency for a reduction in force shall be held in accordance with Article III, Meetings,and related sections of the Trustee Bylaws.

Once the Trustees declare that a financial exigency exists, the President and administrative staff shall provide to Trustees essential information, proposed options, and recommended actions required to reduce or eliminate the financial emergency.
