Procedure
02.01.020.a Administrative Strategic Planning
The strategic plan is an administrative tool for driving the College forward. The President’s Cabinet uses the Board’s goals and data generated from surveys and focus groups to revise the College’s mission statement and vision statement (if necessary) and to set several measurable goals as the College’s strategic plan. While the strategic plan is typically a five-year process, goals will be evaluated at least annually. College leadership changes may result in adjustments to the cycle’s time frame.
The goals set for the strategic plan drive the College’s organization, communication, and resource allocation. The President’s Cabinet, Innovation Team, and other committees or groups from throughout the College will identify core team members to focus on each of the goals as needed. Participants will meet and develop strategies for achieving the College goals.
At the end of each planning cycle, recommendations will be considered based on progress toward the College’s goals. These recommendations will be used by the President’s Cabinet in setting goals for the next plan.
