Procedure

03.03.010.a Staff Employees

Administration encourages ongoing evaluation and feedback throughout the year, with a formal evaluation completed annually for each full-time exempt and non-exempt employee.  As a part of the evaluation process, each staff employee will begin the process by completing a self-evaluation with the electronic “Performance Evaluation – Full-time” form located in the College’s Etrieve Central workflow system. The graded criteria are covered under the following major sections:

  • Record of Professional Growth
  • Performance Categories and Ratings on the following:
    • Expertise
    • Accountability
    • Institutional Commitment
    • Interpersonal Skills
    • Management/Supervisory Skills (Coordinators, Department Heads, Directors, Deans and VP’s)
  • Next Year’s Goals and Objectives
  • Performance Improvement Plan (if applicable)
    • Deficiency
    • Recommendation
    • Plan
    • Due Date
  • Additional Comments

Once the employee completes and submits his/her self-evaluation, the supervisor will be automatically notified with an Etrieve Flow Notification via email and will be directed to take action by clicking on the hyperlink provided in the email.  The supervisor will access the self-evaluation and will complete the evaluation by grading the same criteria.  Once completed, the supervisor will return the evaluation back to the staff employee and will setup a time to meet to discuss the evaluation and future goals.  After the evaluation and meeting are completed and approved by the employee and supervisor, the electronic form will be moved through the workflow process for additional approvals and upon completing the process, the HR department will move the form to file in the individual’s file located in the Human Resources section of the Etrieve Content software.  The electronic workflow captures the history and workflow action taken.  All evaluations are confidential information.  Release of information will follow Policy 03.04.010 – Public Information.
