03.04.060 Drug Free Campus
Western Piedmont Community College recognizes its obligations to all employees, students and the general public to provide and maintain a safe environment which is free of alcohol and illegal drugs or drug abuse. This Policy is in accordance with the requirements set forth by the Federal Drug-Free Schools and Campuses Act of 1989 with amendments. In the event of a conflict between the provisions of this Policy and related federal and state laws, federal and state laws shall always prevail. This Policy is intended to ensure the safety and well-being of employees and students as well as the general public. All College employees and students, including full-time, trainee, part-time, regular hourly and temporary, are expected to acknowledge an understanding of this Policy and to abide by its provisions.
