- Deb Rose received a 2015 Foundation grant to be trained on oral history projects, which she will use to work with students on a service learning project.
- Warren Gruber received a 2014 Foundation grant to purchase a Rapid Prototype Plastics printer, which enabled students to gain experience using 3D printer software.

Kontras Quartet Berry Dig Site at Joara
Offers the community access to unique learning opportunities.
- Foundation provides the community with four concerts a year from the Western Piedmont Symphony’s resident quartet, Kontras Quartet.
- WPCC students, employees and community members participate in the archeological field school each summer at the Berry Dig site at Joara, a location receiving global attention for its recent discoveries.
