Western Piedmont Community College (WPCC) has acquired property off of Vine Arden Road in Morganton to develop a new, state of the art, Emergency Services Training Center (ESTC).  The site consists of three undeveloped parcels of approximately 40 acres.  The ESTC will offer live fire and rescue training with future plans for swift water rescue training.

On Tuesday, March 12, at 5:30 pm in Leviton Auditorium on the campus of WPCC a community information session will be held to share details of the plans for the new ESTC.  The meeting is open to the public and will be an opportunity for the community to learn more about the timeline for construction and what to expect once the facility opens.

Questions pertaining to the new ESTC may be directed to Sandy Hoilman, Vice President for Administrative Affairs and Chief Financial Officer at (828)448-6025 or shoilman@wpcc.edu.

WPCC complies with the American with Disabilities Act and will make every effort to honor any reasonable request made by individuals with qualifying disabilities.  Accommodations must be requested at least three business days in advance of the event by contacting WPCC’s Office of Personal and Career Development at (828) 448-3154.
