Effective Training

The Vet Assistant Program at WPCC is a 96 hour course that prepares you to work as a qualified vet assistant.

Topics include:

  • Basic Roles in a Veterinary Clinic and the Expectations of the Employer
  • Veterinary Terminology
  • Laws and Policies in a Veterinary Clinic
  • Anatomy and Physiology
  • Animal Behavior and Restraint
  • Laboratory Skills
  • Pharmacy Skills
  • Aiding in Surgery and Dental Procedures.

Experience is Not Required

Do you have a desire to work with pets? You can be someone looking for a job, or maybe want to change careers or enhance your skills. The important thing is that you have an interest and desire to learn.

This course is covered by the GEER Scholarship at WPCC.
