Science Club Earth Day Events 2023
Tuesday, April 4th- Chalk the walk. Fill the campus sidewalks with nature facts, drawings, and tips to care for our earth. Event will be held at WPCC sidewalks
Wednesday, April 5th- Dr. Hans Rosling’s Don’t Panic- The Truth About Population Documentary. Come learn about population growth trends and how it will affect our world. Event will be held in Leviton Auditorium from 9am-4pm.
Thursday, April 13th- Environmental trivia Kahoot! Come play a campus wide game of Kahoot! and test your knowledge on the environment. Event will be held in Leviton Auditorium from 10am-11am.
Friday, April 14th- Nature hike with Mr. Spath. Come enjoy the WPCC trails with peers and our very own nature guide Mr. Spath. Event will be held at WPCC trails, meet at parking lot #5 at 11am.
Monday, April 17th- Guest Speaker Jake Raker board member of LJEA. Learn about our local environment from a member of our community. Event will be held in Leviton Auditorium from 1-3pm.
Tuesday, April 18th- Guest Speaker Isaac Crouch, Ceo of Simply Green Curbside. Learn about ways to keep our earth clean from a local. Event will be held in Leviton Auditorium from 1-3pm.
Thursday, April 20th- Ms. Doyle’s class earth day projects on display. Come see what our students have to say about our wonderful earth. Event will be held in the learning resource center.
Friday, April 21st- Earth day awareness booth and display. Come see what tips Science Club has to care for our earth. Event will be held during Pioneer Preview.
Saturday, April 29th- Lake James State Park service day with Ranger Nora Coffey. Come help clean up our local state park and give back to mother earth. Paddy’s Creek Lake James State Park from 9-11am.
