Up to two consecutive days of leave may be taken fall or spring semester for a maximum total of three days per year.\u00a0 One (1) additional day of personal leave will be granted to 12 month faculty for use during summer term.<\/p>\n<p>Personal leave may be awarded if the following conditions are met:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>in the opinion of the department head\/Dean, classes will be adequately covered; and<\/li>\n<li>approved by the appropriate department head and Academic Dean.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Personal leave examples are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Family Involvement<\/li>\n<li>Community Service<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Since these personal leave days should be planned in advance, class coverage and leave approval should be discussed with and approved by department head\/Dean prior to leave being taken.<\/p>\n<p>Personal leave should not be used during peak periods such as advising, registration or graduation.<\/p>\n<p>Personal leave will not accumulate annually and cannot be paid out.<\/p>\n[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Three (3) days of personal leave may be granted to nine (9) month faculty during each fiscal year.
