Nurse Aide I Refresher Course Offered
Morganton, NC – Western Piedmont Community College (WPCC) will offer a Nurse Aide I Refresher course at the College’s Foothills Higher Education Center (FHEC), located at 2128 South Sterling Street, in Morganton. This class, designed to assist those Nurse Aides who have been on the NC Nurse Aide Registry but whose certification and listing have expired, will prepare students for the North Carolina NACES Nurse Aide I certification exam. Class dates and times are Monday through Friday, July 29 through Aug. 11 and Wednesday, Aug. 13 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in FHEC room 167. Cost for the class is $125 and no textbook is required. Each applicant should bring a copy of his/her drivers’ license and social security card to the first class meeting.
The last day to register in person is Tuesday, July 22 and to register online is by 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 23. Pre-registered students must submit and pay for classes at least 48 hours (not including weekends or after 5 p.m. on Friday) prior to the first day of class. If payment information is not provided at the time of on-line registration, registrant must visit WPCC’s main campus to pay the class cost at the Business Office between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., or use the drop box located in Moore Hall. Walk-in registration is only available on Tuesdays when the College is open from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please note also that the Business Office is open until 5 p.m. on Tuesdays; registrants are encouraged to come in prior to 5 p.m., or use the drop box located in Moore Hall.
