WPCC to open B-term registration mid-October

Sept. 18, 2020 – Western Piedmont Community College will offer a B-Term this fall beginning Oct. 14 and ending Dec. 14. With 8-week courses, B-Term provides a unique opportunity to earn college credit in an abbreviated semester.

Registration for B-Term classes at WPCC is Oct. 12 and 13 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This registration is open to new and returning students. Those interested may go to www.wpcc.edu/bterm or call Student Services at 828-448-6046 to learn more.

B-Term offers a variety of classes. Course options include Introduction to Computers (CIS 110), Art Appreciation (ART 111), General Psychology (PSY 150), Principles of Microeconomics (ECO 251), Principles of Financial Accounting (ACC 120), Principles of Supervision (135), Elementary Spanish I (111), Spanish Lab 1 (181) and more. Credits earned during B-Term may be used toward earning an associate’s degree or transferring to a 4-year university. Many of the B-Term courses are potentially eligible to transfer to public colleges and universities in the UNC system. Learn more about transfer possibilities at www.wpcc.edu/bterm.

Students participating in B-Term registration must meet with an academic advisor, register for classes and pay tuition and fees. New student applications should be completed and submitted by Oct. 8 at 5 p.m., and all tuition and fees must be paid by Oct. 14. New students must be admitted to the college before registering for classes.
