There are a variety of e-tutoring software solutions available, however most of them have one thing in common: they are fairly expensive to implement and maintain. Outside of cost, other factors that may pose a problem with using outside solutions involve the quality of service, complexity of technology, and lack of connection between the tutor and tutee. Learn how we built an internal e-tutoring program from the ground up using internal resources and personnel for more than a small fraction of the cost of outside software solutions. Using our own faculty, professional, and peer tutors, we offer an internal e-tutoring solution that continues to grow in popularity. This session will also provide some additional information on the changes we have had to make to our internal program to increase the amount of usage among students.
