National Apprenticeship Proclamation

On Tuesday, October 17th, the Burke County Board of Commissioners signed a proclamation recognizing November 13 – 19, 2023 as National Apprenticeship Week.

Western Piedmont’s PACE Program, which stands for Partnership for Apprenticeship and Career Exploration provides apprenticeship opportunities for workers to receive specialized training to enhance their job skills. Apprentices are paid while in the program along with earning an educational credential to demonstrate training.
