Introduction to Upholstery meets October 4th through December 22nd each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

LEARN A TRADE, GAIN A CAREER | Pursue your career or entrepreneurial goals through our Upholstery Training Program while gaining a lifelong marketable skill. These quality jobs are in high demand! This course prepares students to be professional upholsterers with a hands-on, project-oriented format. Students gain the furniture construction and career skills needed for quality jobs in the furniture industry.

We include an overview of core concepts such as inside and outside upholstering, industrial safety, furniture quality, measurements and math, teamwork and communication, and problem solving. Upon successful completion of the class, students will be prepared for advanced training in furniture production areas such as spring up, cutting and sewing, frame building and finishing.

Instruction Will Include:

  • Frame building and spring up

  • Fabric and material cutting

  • Furniture finishing

  • Basic upholstery

  • And other topics including furniture terminology, workplace safety and reading blueprints
