"Tai Chi is a highly adaptable form of exercise that can help maintain strength, flexibility, aerobic conditioning and balance, and may be the perfect activity for the rest of
your life". -Harvard Medical School. Tai chi is often described as "meditation in motion” and shows growing evidence that mind-body practice, which originated in China as a martial art, has value in treating or preventing many health problems. And you can get started regardless of your level of conditioning. This low-impact exercise takes you through a series of motions or martial arts moves that combine Qi Gong or breathing exercises and focused attention improving cognitive skills. Tai chi is unique in that movements are never forced, and joints are not fully extended. Tai chi can be easily adapted for any age or physical ability including those confined to wheelchairs and recovering from surgery to athletes who want to improve performance!
