September 26, 2020 –
Individuals will visit the Chetola Sporting Reserve in Blowing Rock, North Carolina, to learn the basics of archery. Individuals will learn about form, function, and safety for one hour. The class includes the rental of bows and arrows. Each individual will receive assistance on selecting the appropriate bow based on weight, arm length, and pull strength. Participants will have two hours to practice archery after the instructor's lesson. In addition, participants will have lunch at the Town Tavern. Bring money for lunch. Transportation will be provided by Western Piedmont Community College. Individuals are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes. Teachers can receive teacher renewal credits for this class.
