Western Piedmont Community College provides appropriate and adequate library and learning/information resources, services and support for all students, faculty, staff and the community, in fulfillment of the institutional mission, vision, goals and core values.  The College’s mission statement is “WPCC unites with all people in our community to identify and achieve their goals through an innovative, high quality educational experience.”  As such, the College Library housed in Phifer Hall (PFH 100), contains a large collection of printed books, and provides access to an extensive collection of eBooks, full text Journals, streaming videos and audio books.

The library’s print and online collections are equally available to students, faculty and staff either on or off-campus.  The online resources are available at any time for faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students, through use of their Western Piedmont Network ID and password.  Students can search for print materials, videos, and other resources by taking advantage of the library’s online catalog.  Students can easily access a wide variety of printed materials by visiting the library in person or by requesting material to be sent by email, scan or regular mail.  Online video tutorials, “ask-a-librarian”, and NC LIVE online chat are available at any time for after hours or off-campus assistance.  The Library will conduct library orientations and workshops for classes or individuals as requested.  There are also online tutorials posted on the library’s website for the catalog, databases and eBook usage.
