Wilderness EMS Summit Set
for September 17 & 18
The 2022 Wilderness EMS Summit is set for September 17-18, 2022 in the Linville Gorge Wilderness of Burke County. Sponsored by WPCC with instruction provided by Hawk Ventures, the Summit attracts EMS personnel and physicians from throughout the southeastern United States for a weekend of intense hands-on training. information on the Summit, including class descriptions is available from Hawk Ventures.
The WPCC section number for the Summit is 65673. Registration for Summit is now open online.

Fire, Rescue & Emergency Management
Western Piedmont Community College routinely offers upgrade and certification training for fire, rescue, and emergency management personnel. The following are some of the specialized training programs that are offered from time to time:

The GEER Scholarship
Students in certain WPCC programs (including some Fire/Rescue/Emergency Management classes) may be eligible for tuition assistance through the GEER Scholarship.
