for September 18 & 19

The 2021 Wilderness EMS Summit is set for September 18-19, 2021 in the Linville Gorge Wilderness of Burke County. Sponsored by WPCC with instruction provided by Hawk Ventures, the Summit attracts EMS personnel and physicians from throughout the southeastern United States for a weekend of intense hands-on training. information on the Summit, including class descriptions is available from Hawk Ventures.

The WPCC section number for the Summit is 63436. Registration for Summit is now open online.

Training Programs for
Fire, Rescue & Emergency Management

Training PictureWestern Piedmont Community College routinely offers upgrade and certification training for fire, rescue, and emergency management personnel. The following are some of the specialized training programs that are offered from time to time:

The GEER Scholarship

Students in certain WPCC programs (including some Fire/Rescue/Emergency Management classes) may be eligible for tuition assistance through the GEER Scholarship.
