WPCC, in partnership with Burke Development, Incorporated (BDI), Work in Burke and the Western Piedmont Homebuilders Association, is offering a comprehensive training program this summer for individuals who wish to pursue a career as electricians. The class will meet four days per week for five hours each day for ten weeks beginning in June, for a total of 200 hours of intensive classroom and hands-on training. The accelerated program will provide students the skills needed to gain entry level employment with residential and commercial electricians and as entry level electrical maintenance technicians in local industry.

Qualifications and Expectations
- High School graduate or actively pursuing a high school diploma
- Students may apply for scholarship funding
