You can sign up for classes via our online system. Please have the class title/name and the date(s) or class section numbers before clicking or tapping the buttons to access the registration forms.

In-Person Registration
In-person registration for Workforce and Continuing Education classes in Hildebrand Hall has been suspended due to the COVID-19 restrictions. We are still accepting registrations for classes being offered via online registration. Remember, you need to register for classes prior to the class start date (preferably 48 hours prior), allowing time for all payments to process before the class begins. Self-Defense Tips and Techniques for WomenSeptember 16, 2017 – Foothills Higher Education Center 2128 South Sterling Street Morganton, NC 28655 USA Date: September 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Self-defense begins long before an attack happens. Knowing how to protect yourself is an important set of skills that everyone should have. Learn self-defense techniques to build your confidence as well as how to respond when you are faced with threatening situations. Your instructor will teach you evasive techniques and behaviors to help you avoid dangerous situations. Please wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes. Self-defense is all about using your smarts not your fists. In this 3 hour workshop, you will learn how to avoid being a target, how to prepare for a possible attack, how to keep a clear mind and how to use your natural strengths to retaliate effectively and decisively. Students will learn evasion maneuvers, blocks, releases, and strikes to use in case they ever do need to protect themselves. Ages 13 and up.

Learn the basics of residential gas-powered home and lawn equipment. Many of the fundamentals covered also apply to automobiles, motorcycles, ATVs, mini bikes and go karts. Major topics include safety, gas engine fundamentals, batteries, fuel, oil, grease, blades, fasteners, tools, various adjustments, regular maintenance (including oil, air and fuel filter changing), tire pressure and proposed storage of equipment College and instructor will provide safety equipment and equipment to practice on. Students should wear closed toed shoes and work cloths.
