College Dean A Nominee for Women of Justice Award

WPCC-Leslie-McKesson-0513-fnMorganton, NC – Western Piedmont Community College (WPCC) Dean of Business & Public Services Leslie McKesson is among the nominees for the third annual Women of Justice awards event to be held in Raleigh in November. North Carolina Lawyers Weekly will host the awards event to recognize women across the state who have demonstrated leadership, integrity, service, sacrifice and accomplishment in improving the quality of justice and exemplifying the highest ideals of the legal profession. The awards reach out to women in various segments of the legal community across the state including business, public service, legal professionals, and the bench. The top ‘Woman of the Year’ award honoree will be selected out of the 2014 Women of Justice honorees. Ms. McKesson is nominated in the “Legal Professional Award” category.

Western Piedmont Community College is situated in the picturesque rolling foothills of Morganton, North Carolina, and has served the citizens of Burke County since 1964.  Each year, more than 10,700 students pursue personal enrichment, new skills for a job or career, high school diplomas, college degrees, and transfer pathways.
