All day – Gear Up for college this summer! Do you like playing in the outdoors? Do you want to protect and understand the planet? Come learn and spend one week this summer on WPCC's campus to learn about Environmental Awareness, Conservation and Sustainability. Also, enjoy WPCC's climbing tower and hiking trails. Open to 6th, 7th and 8th Graders Questions: Contact Pat Nivanh, GEAR UP IHE Coordinator All day All Day: Fee: $250.00 In “New York City Cultural Experience”, participants will have the opportunity to explore the exciting city of New York. Join instructors experienced in guiding visitors through the art, architecture, culture, history, and theatre of Manhattan. Individuals will also have the chance for sightseeing, shopping, and dining, with accommodations centrally situated in the Midtown/Times Square area. This class is the Continuing Education part of Art 111 which includes a trip to New York City over Summer Semester, Thursday, June 22 through Sunday, June 26. Class meeting times and location: 5/23/22, 6/06/22, 6/13/19 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in E108. Students interested in this course must see Mark Poteat (828-448-3538) in E-103-C, or Mark Pellatt in E-103-D prior to registration. Instructor: Mark Poteat – Burke County Job Fair Collett Street Recreation Center No charge to attend! Sponsored By: – If you have been charged with a minor violation in the 36th North Carolina Judicial District, you may elect to have it reduced by the District Attorney by completing a 4-hour defensive driving course. It is offered through Western Piedmont Community College and the Safety and Health Council of North Carolina to train motorists in the principles of defensive driving. Week of Jun 19th
