WPCC is offering a new and exciting training for the Do-It-Yourselfer. If you have decided to do your own repairs at home. Let us lend you some helpful training. Whatever it is inside the home or yard work. WPCC has three upcoming classes that might help to achieve your goal.

Course: Basic Excavator Operations
Date:
May 16, 2023 – June 8, 2023
4 weeks – Tuesday and Thursday Evenings, 24 hours total
Time: 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Cost: $70.00
Location: K-Building, 200 Patrick Murphy Drive, Morganton, NC 28655 | Room #140

This course will give the student a hands-on experience with the (CAT- Simulators) Excavator. The course will teach the student the control familiarization along with proper procedures. The course will provide scenarios from safety inspection, starting operations and shutdown. By the end of the course a student should be able to operate a mini-Excavator. There is an opportunity for a student to receive a job interview with a construction partner or municipalities.

8:00 am: Defensive Driving (Section 69331)


May 20, 2023

If you have been charged with a minor violation in the 36th North Carolina Judicial District, you may elect to have it reduced by the District Attorney by completing a 4-hour defensive driving course. It is offered through Western Piedmont Community College and the Safety and Health Council of North Carolina to train motorists in the principles of defensive driving.
