– If you have been charged with a minor violation in the 36th North Carolina Judicial District, you may elect to have it reduced by the District Attorney by completing a 4-hour defensive driving course. It is offered through Western Piedmont Community College and the Safety and Health Council of North Carolina to train motorists in the principles of defensive driving. – Description: This welding course will focus on the basics of Mig welding. The student will learn to use safety equipment and proper techniques necessary in welding. This welding course will include PPE, and all guidelines in welding safety. The course will give the students a hands-on opportunity to practice welding techniques. The students should wear proper clothing including closed toe shoes. All PPE will be provided by the instructor and students should wear clothes that would be considered proper clothing. It is important that a student does not wear clothing or shoes which can cause injury to the student. For example, no flip flops should be worn in the welding area.
