  • Deb Rose received a 2015 Foundation grant to be trained on oral history projects, which she will use to work with students on a service learning project.
  • Warren Gruber received a 2014 Foundation grant to purchase a Rapid Prototype Plastics printer, which enabled students to gain experience using 3D printer software.

Kontras Quartet                           Berry Dig Site at Joara

Offers the community access to unique learning opportunities.

  • Foundation provides the community with four concerts a year from the Western Piedmont Symphony’s resident quartet, Kontras Quartet.
  • WPCC students, employees and community members participate in the archeological field school each summer at the Berry Dig site at Joara, a location receiving global attention for its recent discoveries.

  • ALL Western Piedmont Foundation funds support local students and initiatives that improve lives and promote growth in our community.
  • For every $1 that is invested in a student’s education, the student will gain $2.30 in lifetime income. Also, there will be $7.70 in added state income and social savings for society.
