Dean Lee Kiser Named to NCCCS Leadership Committee
Morganton, NC – Western Piedmont Community College’s (WPCC) Dean of Workforce and Professional Development Lee Kiser was recently named as an at large member of the North Carolina Community College System’s (NCCCS) Workforce Development Leadership Committee. Consisting of 12 senior Continuing Education officers from across the state, the leadership committee represents all 58 of North Carolina’s community colleges in its work of reviewing and approving revisions to continuing education (CE) classes, and in making recommendations to the State Board of Community Colleges (SBCC) regarding CE programming. In addition, the leadership committee provides input and suggestions to the NCCCS staff regarding CE accountability and best practices as well as provides recommendations and suggestions to the NCCCS president for legislative changes and changes to the SBCC code. The committee also receives current updates on the NCCCS budgeting and financial operations, and their impact on the College system.
