Western Carolina University (WCU) proudly announces that 19 outstanding former Western Piedmont Community College (WPCC) students have graduated from WCU during the 2024 – 2025 academic year. This achievement reflects the strength of a valued and ongoing partnership between the two institutions, which continues to positively impact students and communities across North Carolina.

WCU extends heartfelt congratulations to these accomplished graduates and deep appreciation to WPCC for its continued dedication to academic excellence and student preparation.

WCU recognizes and celebrates the rigorous education provided by WPCC. The success of these graduates is a direct result of the dedication, mentoring, and preparation they received.

Over the past decade, WCU has actively hosted regional events to foster dialogue and collaboration between WCU and community college leaders. These initiatives aim to enhance student transitions, provide robust support services, and align institutional efforts under the “Live Western” mission, an initiative focused on empowering students from all walks of life, whether on campus or online.

As WCU looks to the future, it remains committed to strengthening its relationship with WPCC. They welcome continued conversations and shared efforts to support student success, from enrollment to graduation. WCU invites further collaboration and welcomes input from WPCC to explore new ways to enhance the student experience and deepen the institutions’ partnership.
