WPCC Faculty/Staff vs Students Basketball Fundraiser Thursday, March 24

Western Piedmont Community College will host the fifth annual “Hoops for Hospice” to support Burke Hospice & Palliative Care, on Thursday, March 24, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the gym at Heritage Middle School, 1951 Enon Road, Valdese. Tickets are $2 each and can be purchased at the event and in Hildebrand Hall on the College campus at 1001 Burkemont Avenue. The public is invited to attend this family-friendly event and cheer for a favorite student, faculty or staff member.

WPCC Hosts Readers Theatre Presentation

Morganton, N.C. – Western Piedmont Community College will host a readers theatre presentation of “The Crossing” written by author Lynden Harris on Tuesday, March 22. Two shows will be offered at 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. in the Phifer Learning Resources Center, Room 99 on the college’s campus at 1001 Burkemont Avenue. This free presentation is open to the public. A reception will follow the evening performance.
