WPCC Faculty/Staff vs Students Basketball Fundraiser Thursday, March 23

Western Piedmont Community College will host the sixth annual “Hoops for Hospice” to support Burke Hospice & Palliative Care, on Thursday, March 23, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the gym at Heritage Middle School, 1951 Enon Road, Valdese.  Tickets are $2 each and can be purchased at the event and in Hildebrand Hall on the College campus at 1001 Burkemont Avenue. The public is invited to attend this family-friendly event and cheer for a favorite student, faculty or staff member.

The College’s 2016 fundraiser for Burke Hospice brought in over $1,100 that supported Camp Dragonfly, a grief-counseling camp for local children. The Camp provides a safe place for kids to express their feelings and move forward in their healing. All activities are age-appropriate and supervised by Hospice staff.
