Summer 2014 Honors Lists Announced!


Honor Rolls 0914Morganton– Western Piedmont Community College’s (WPCC) Dean of Student Services Susan Williams released a Summer 2014 President’s List of four students, and a Dean’s List of 161 students. Western Piedmont Community College would like to commend these students for their academic achievement. Students who enroll in at least 12 SHC on which grade points may be computed, and who attain a grade point average of 4.0 are placed on the President’s List of honor students for the semester. A student who enrolls in at least 6 SHC, on which grade points may be computed, and who attain a grade point average of 3.5 or better, is placed on the Dean’s List of honor students for the semester. Williams expressed pleasure at the number of students on the Summer 2014 semester’s Honor Lists saying, “These lists of students are a distinct indication of the academic excellence of Western Piedmont. Our students respond to the challenge presented by rigorous academic programs.”

Western Piedmont Community College is situated in the picturesque rolling foothills of Morganton, North Carolina, and has served the citizens of Burke County since 1964.  Each year, more than 10,700 students pursue personal enrichment, new skills for a job or career, high school diplomas, college degrees, and transfer pathways. Registration for the Fall semester’s B Term classes will be held on Thursday, Oct. 16 between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. on the college campus at 1001 Burkemont Avenue. Applications for admission must be submitted by Friday, Oct. 3, 2014 at 7 p.m. The College’s B Term classes begin on Friday, Oct. 17.
