Financial Aid

Applying for Financial Aid

The Financial Aid Office will be glad to assist you with any questions you have concerning your FAFSA application.  Our office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm.  There is also a Financial Aid representative in Student Services until 7:30pm every Tuesday night. 

Eligibility Requirements

Students must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for federal financial aid at WPCC.  Students must:

  • Be enrolled at WPCC in an associates degree program or an approved diploma/ certification program.

  • Be a United States Citizen or an eligible non citizen.

  • Have a Social Security card that carries a current and accurate legal name and Social Security Number.

  • Not be in default on a federal student loan or owe a repayment on a federal grant.

  • Provide all requested documentation. Your financial aid application cannot be processed without necessary documents.

  • If required, you must be registered with Selective Service. You can register on the Selective Service web site: http://www.sss.gov

  • You must be making satisfactory academic progress toward a degree. Please read the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Policy for Financial Aid Eligibility to determine if you meet its requirements. If you are not making satisfactory academic progress, you may appeal your status by completing a SAP Appeal form.

How to Apply

Students wishing to apply for financial aid must do so each year by completing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). 

We suggest that you complete your application on line at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

If you have not been assigned a pin number, go to http://pin.ed.gov and apply for one to sign your application electronically.
