Time: 4:00pm-6:30pm
Cost: $72.25 This course will be 5.0 hours total which will be setup into 2 days in person. The student will receive a NCCER card as well as a certificate of completion for Basic Safety (Module 00101). The course of objectives as follows: “Explain the benefits of safety, the cost of workplace incidents, and way to reduce related hazards. Describe common fall hazards and methods to prevent them. Recognize and avoid struck-by and caught-in-between hazards. Identify common electrical hazards and how to avoid them. Associate personal protective equipment (PPE) with the hazards they reduce or eliminate. Describe safety practices used with other common job-site hazards.” (NCCER Module 00101). The performance tasks as follows: “Properly setup and climb/ descend on an extension ladder, demonstrating proper three-point of contact. Inspect the following to determine if they are safe to use; eye protection, hearing, hard hat, gloves, fall arrest harnesses, lanyard, connecting devices, approved footwear. Properly fit and removal of the following PPE: eye protection, hearing protection, hard hat, glove and Fall arrest harness. Inspect a typical power cord and GFCI to ensure their serviceability.” (NCCER Module 00101). 8:00 am: Local Anesthesia Class for Dental Hygienist8:00 am: Local Anesthesia Class for Dental Hygienist This 24-hour local anesthesia certification course is for dental hygienists practicing for at least two years. The online aspect of this course is taught through a series of modules developed by a dentist with a background in online and distance learning. The clinical component is completed in 8 hours and incorporates several hands-on exercises, injections on anesthesia manikins, and using Safe-D-Needles before working on a peer patient. Once completed, the hygienist will receive 24 hours of NSBDE-approved continuing education and the required paperwork to submit for your local anesthesia certification. This course is taught by Calleesha Teel, Esq. Originally from Greenville, NC, she received her Bachelor in Political Science from Winston-Salem State University and her JD/MLS from North Carolina Central University. She has been a Notary Public since 2016 and conducted hundreds of notarizations. She is also a Notary Signing Agent and Notary Public Instructor. "I am looking forward to teaching you what you need to know to be a Notary."
