Cancer Insurance (Colonial)

Cancer coverage helps with the cost of cancer screenings and cancer treatment and provides benefits to help pay for the indirect costs associated with cancer such as:

  • Loss of wages
  • Deductibles and coinsurance
  • Travel expenses to and from treatment centers
  • Lodging and meals
  • Child care

Upon initial full-time employment, employees are eligible to purchase a cancer insurance policy through Colonial which allows for payroll deductions.  If the employee elects coverage upon eligibility, his/her coverage will begin the first day of the following month after benefit eligible.  If the employee chooses not to participate, he or she will be given the opportunity during open enrollment and will need to go through a medical underwriting process.

Contact Human Resources for more information.
