03.01.070.a New Employee Onboarding

 

 

 

 

The primary purpose of a formal onboarding program at Western Piedmont Community College is to:  (1) create a favorable impression on the new employee; (2) help ease the new employee’s adjustment to the College; and (3) provide specific information concerning the task and performance expectations of the job.  Initially, all full-time employees will complete all Human Resources required paperwork and receive an overview of leave, benefits, etc.  After meeting with the Director of Human Resources, the employee’s immediate supervisor will complete and sign a New Employee Orientation Checklist to be returned to the Office of Human Resources. The checklist will be placed in the employee’s personnel file.

Onboarding for part-time and adjunct employees is a cooperative venture between Division Assistants and Human Resources.
