Morganton, NC – Western Piedmont Community College’s B.E.S.T. Society will be selling Christmas trees now through Thursday, Dec. 6. Tree prices are $25 for 6 to 7 foot tall trees; $30 for 7 to 8 foot tall trees, and $35 for 8 to 9 foot tall trees. All trees must be pre-ordered by 5 p.m. the day before pick up with a $20 deposit; trees can be picked up on Fridays, Nov. 16 and Dec. 7 at the tennis courts on the College campus. Western Piedmont’s B.E.S.T. (Building Energy Sustainable Technology) Society is a student organization with the goal of reducing the carbon footprint and educating campus students as well as the general public about ways to help cut energy costs, green and sustainable technology, and alternative energies.
Western Piedmont Community College enrolls approximately 4,000 students annually in pursuit of college transfer degrees, two year associate degrees and diplomas. More than 10,000 students enroll each year in continuing education courses for professional development and personal enrichment. The College also provides programs for high school completion. Western Piedmont received recognition for Exceptional Institutional Performance based on standards established by the North Carolina General Assembly.
