In this class you will learn how to set up and use a lathe to turn green wood into a variety of vessels. Topics include selection and use of tools and equipment, selection and conversion of timber, tool sharpening, design considerations, finishing and workshop safety. Upon completion of this class, you will create a bowl or vessel of your own design.
Signing Up for a Personal Enrichment Class
Continuing Education classes offered through our Workforce and Professional Development Division, have a pre-registration policy, with the exception of Fire/Rescue, EMT/EMS, Law Enforcement, HRD and CTP program areas. You must register and pay any registration fees two business days/48 business hours prior to the start date of the class.
