Books on shelf Gale Virtual Reference Library is a database of encyclopedias, almanacs, and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research. These reference materials once were accessible only in the library, but now you can access them online from the library or remotely 24/7. Because each library creates its own eBook collection, the content you see may vary if you use the database at different libraries (your school, your public library, or your office).
Lion Logo Literature Online Reference (LION)
The home of Literary criticism and reference. Literature Online Reference Edition, the essential companion to literary study. The library of specialist full-text journals numbers more than 150 journal titles.  
In addition, the database contains more than 2,900 author biographies. The Annual Bibliography of English Language and Literature (ABELL) contains over 836,000 records covering monographs, periodical articles, critical editions of literary works, book reviews, collections of essays and doctoral dissertations published anywhere in the world from 1920 onwards. Access is restricted to Western Piedmont Community College students, faculty, and staff.

FAITS - Faulkner Advisory on Info Tech Studies is a computer and reference library designed exclusively for the academic community. Excellent source for articles on the telecommunications industry and new technology trends.

AHEC Digital Library - full-text books and journals, healthcare databases, & evidence-based medicine resources .

"Ask a Librarian" is available for Distance Learners needing assistance identifying, searching, and accessing library resources. Using the "Ask a Librarian" service you can get answers to the same kinds of questions you might ask if you were able to visit the on-campus library Reference Desk.
