2017 Wilderness EMS Summit
is September 23-24
The 2017 Carolina Wilderness EMS Summit will be held September 23-24 in Pisgah National Forest overlooking the Linville Gorge Wilderness, the deepest gorge and one of the oldest designated wilderness areas in the eastern United States.
The Summit covers technical rescue and delivery of medical care in a wilderness setting and is open to healthcare professionals with ALS training. Click or tap the buttons below for more information or to register.

Class will meet Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

An Emergency Medical Technician class will be held May 15-June 28 at the Foothills Higher Education Center. It consists of 216 hours of classroom and clinical instruction and will prepare students to take the EMT exam administered by the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services.
Accredited college degree or TABE placement test for reading comprehension (minimum of 11th grade reading level)
Dates: August 8- December 12, 2017
Class will meet Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6:00-10:00 PM

The text for the course is Emergency Care: 13th Edition + My Brady Lab (ISBN 0134190750).
