Western Piedmont Community College is committed to
making accommodations and providing services for persons with
disabilities. The College has administrative and faculty specialists who
respond to visual, hearing, mobility, and alternative learning needs.
The College adheres to the standards and guidelines set forth in the
Americans With Disabilities Act.
To be eligible for services and accommodations through the
Disability Access Office students are required to provide
written verification of their disability. Documentation must
be signed and dated by a qualified professional who has
diagnosed the disability. Students must have documentation
of a disability on file in Disability Access Office before
services and accommodations for classes can be provided.
Requests for accommodations must be
placed with the Disability Access Office at three business
days prior to special events or activities.
The Disability Access Office is located in Room 103 of Hildebrand Hall. The
Coordinator of the Office or a designee is available for
