WPCC offers a variety of classes for professional training along with personal advancement and enjoyment both in seated classes and online through ed2go. These classes are designed to accommodate busy lifestyles and provide opportunities to quickly get skills or explore interests.

Personal Enrichment classes will display a Sign Me Up or Register Now option. The Sign Me Up option will let us know your interest in receiving more information about the class once dates, times or fees have been established. Classes with the Register Now option have been scheduled with assigned dates, times and fees.

Qigong is a system of self-care and self-healing that combines slow, gentle movement with breath and intention. Easy to learn, it excels at increasing energy and reducing stress. Combine stretches, flowing movements, standing postures, and healing sounds to create a calm, unhurried and focused mind. By the end, you’ll be able to easily access feelings of peace and clarity. Leave each session feeling deeply centered in your body, mind and spirit and ready to face life.
This course covers basic computer skills, using Microsoft's newest operating system, Windows 10. Learn what is new to Windows 10 as well as discovering the location of the everyday features used in past versions. Students will learn to browse the Internet with Microsoft's new Edge application and find other useful Apps in the Window's App Store. Prerequisite: previous experience using Windows. In this class, students will create ceramic wall décor. Utilizing hand building techniques such as coil and slab building, an emphasis will be placed on surface decoration. Students will select from an assortment of clay and glazes and learn how to apply various surface treatments. Upon completion, students will create tiles, wall pockets and much more. This class is open to all levels. Tools may be purchased in the WPCC bookstore.
In this class, students will create a 12" x 12” mosaic that may be used in the garden, displayed by front door or in home. During the first class, students will select or create a pattern, break glass, and glue pieces in place. The second class, student will grout mosaics and other finishing touches. Upon completion, students will have a unique piece of art. This class is open to all levels. Students must purchase a mosaic nipper available from hobby stores.

Western Piedmont Community College is pleased to present the Independent Auto Dealer License Renewal Course. This course will meet the six-hour continuing education requirement for your license renewal as ordered for Independent Auto Dealers by House Bill 432. Study will include topics such as Salesman License/Registration, Bill of Sale, Warranties, Repossessed Vehicles, Tag Requirements and other State required information. Instructor: Dennis Mauk
Spring is in the air and it is a perfect time to create themed garden art. In this class, students will create a ceramic totem to be displayed outside. Students will utilize coil and slab techniques, learn how to apply various surface treatments and select from an assortment of glazes. Upon completion, students will have an array of hollow ceramic shapes to be stacked on a metal pole, welcoming guests to personal home and garden. This class is open to all levels. Tools may be purchased in the WPCC bookstore.
