Installing the MHC Interactive GED Online Software 

A great place to start is with the "official"  installation document from McGraw-Hill, Contemporary. It contains all of the information you need to do a "clean" install.

Installation tips:

• Clean your computer of viruses, spam, Trojans, etc., before attempting to install the program

• Use a quality free program such as Ad-Aware se Personal to find and delete any problems mentioned above.

• *Make sure that all pop-up blockers are off! This is the number one reason people call with installation problems. A pop-up blocker is part of Internet Explorer service pack 2. It is also part of Yahoo's and Google's "skins" (additions to the standard IE).

• Make sure that you turn off Norton or McAfee anti-virus programs during the install.
