The Adult High School Diploma (AHSD) program enables adults to
finish high school by attending regularly scheduled classes
each semester in English, mathematics, social studies,
science, health, physical education, and electives.
When all graduation requirements are met, a high school
diploma is issued jointly by WPCC and the Burke County
Public Schools.
Students may attend classes:
Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 12:00pm
or
Monday - Thursday from 6:00pm - 9:00 pm.
No
registration fee!
There is no registration fee; however, students must purchase
some books.
New students are required to take placement tests
in reading and math.
They need to bring an official copy of their previous high
school transcript to the coordinator no later than the
placement test date. The next
scheduled placement test will be Thursday, December 14, 2006
at either 9:00AM or 6:00PM at the Continuing Education
Building on the Jim A. Richardson Campus.
New students must also attend the Keys to Success class.
The Keys to Success, a Human Resource Development
class, as a required orientation to the AHSD program. This
class will be held January 3 and 4, 2007. Spring semester
AHSD classes begin Monday, January 8, and returning students
must call for scheduling.
